There is an incredible diversity of microorganisms within and on us. We now know that microorganisms or microbes are not just annoying microscopic life forms that cause occasional diarrhea or the flue. Microbes probably influence us more than we want to accept. Are microbes responsible for criminal behavior? If so how do we use our collective wisdom to alter this unfortunate reality

Our Mission

Our mission is to support novel breakthrough research that will unravel the tantalizing links between our microbiome and our behavior, especially "criminal" behavior. We are looking for partners big and small so that we can make a difference in our societies. It is unthinkable that 3000 juveniles are serving life in prison and over 2.3 million individuals are in the US prison system. Humans have shown that we can send robotic missions out of the solar system and obtain scientific data from these spacecraft trillions and quadrillion miles from the earth. Yet, our ability to prevent the level of incarceration and recidivism is baffling. We need to marshal our collective wisdom to effect change. There is no doubt that this effort will face the naysayers and vested interests. But this challenge is no different than when Copernicus faced when the proposed that the sun is the center of the solar system
